JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One person is dead tonight after crashing a vehicle through a fence and landing upside down in a pond near Bartram Park.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the 29-year-old driver of the SUV was traveling south on Bartram Park Road and attempted to make a turn. Instead, the driver hit a fence at Emerald Preserve and crashed into a pond.
Police do not believe anyone else was in the car. Police have not yet released the driver's name.
