JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Philips Highway is back open following a hit-and-run crash that was investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Tuesday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a Jeep Cherokee drove north on U.S. 1, south of Gran Bay Parkway around 2:45 a.m.

FHP officials said the driver then hit a concrete barrier wall after losing control of the Jeep.

According to FHP, the vehicle flipped more than once.

FHP officials said the driver of that Jeep ran into a wooded area after the crash.

According to FHP, 53-year-old Lance Clark crashed his delivery truck into the Jeep after the crash. He was not injured.
