BEVERLY BEACH, Fla. -- A drug smuggler's boat washed ashore near Palm Coast, sending bales and bales of marijuana to the coastline.

The boat initially capsized off the coast of Jacksonville on September 2.  It broke free and drifted south before anchoring on a sandbar about 50 feet from the shore near Beverly Beach this weekend.

The boat had 150 pounds of marijuana on board.  Some bales floated ashore where deputies scooped them up.

The boat has no markings or registration.  The Florida Wildlife Commission seized the boat.

Is there no proofreader? Bails should be spelled bales. Bale is for hay, cotton, marijuana.
