ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A local woman has been charged with DUI after allegedly hitting a Sheriff's Office Public Service Assistant cruiser on Interstate 95.

According to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, Erica Christine Robbins was traveling southbound on I-95 near mile marker 319 on Sunday evening when she hit a PSA vehicle that was assisting the Florida Highway Patrol with another crash.

Robbins, 28, kept driving and was stopped about half a mile from the hit and run scene. The officer that handled the traffic stop smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from Robbin's breath and she refused a field sobriety test.

While Robbins was being booked into the St. Johns County jail, corrections officers found a small bag of suspected cannabis inside her purse.

Robbins was booked and charged with Driving Under the Influence and Possession of Less Than 20 Grams of Marijuana.
