Drunken driver convicted of punching cop during stop

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man has been convicted of punching an officer in the face after a traffic stop.

David Sund, 46, was stopped by an officer on Atlantic Boulevard in January. He was driving erratically, according to police. During the stop, Sund hit the female officer in the face. After he was detained, he tried to break the window of the squad by kicking it. He was convicted of battery on a law enforcement officer and driving under the influence.

Sund is expected to be sentenced November 26, 2012.
