JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--Two of the men convicted of murdering 8-year-old Dreshawna Davis were back in court today fighting for their lives.

Last month Terrell and Tajuane Dubose were convicted of First Degree Murder. Now it's up to the jury to decide if they should face the death penalty. Today the defense called more witnesses to try and paint a picture of two brothers who were victims of their own environment.

A former teacher and principal testified that the neighborhood they grew up in was so rough they never had a chance. The defense also called criminologist James Fox to the stand. He told the jury the Dubose brothers were basically raised to be criminals.

excuses such as a bad childhood are very weak in light of the fact that they murdered that little girl. excuses are like noses; everybody has one. There are no excuses in a situation like this. Nothing they can say excuses what they did.

its now been 2yrs since those 3 POS murdered that little girl...give them a needle nap tonite. we the public are tired of feeding supporting and offering free health care. I think a pubolic execution in the gator bowl ,with live broadcasts should do this city well, and leave an indel;iable impression on these kids

It's ashame how three brothers wasted their young lives in such violent acts. They took an innocent, precious life too soon. They did the crime, you do the time. May god have mercy on their souls.

These three shot a innocent child. They have been found guilty by a jury, now is the time to put them on death row and deny all appeals and fulfill the sentence now not in 10 or 20 years. I is ridiculous that lawyers can stop the law from doing it's job as they file useless appeal after appeal.
