JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Property owners in Duval County will soon begin receiving their 2012 tax bills. The Duval County Tax Collector's Office began sending the bills out on Wednesday.

All Tax Collector branch locations will have a drop box for customers to drop off their tax payments without having to wait in line. That begins Monday, November 5th. The drop box will be available during the Tax Collector’s operating hours, Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Last year we provided the drop boxes as a convenient payment option for our customers at the end of the month, when wait times are typically the highest,” Corrigan said. “The drop boxes were so well received by our customers that we decided to provide them for a longer period this year. The boxes will be available now through March 31.”

If you have questions call the Tax Collector's Office call center at 630-1916 or e-mail taxcollector@coj.net.  Many answers can be found on the Tax Collector’s web site at www.coj.net/tc.

A four percent discount is extended to property owners who pay current taxes by November 30. Property taxes are due in full by March 31 and are considered delinquent on April 1.
