JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars are putting the wraps on the worst season in franchise history and appear to be ready to bring Gene Smith's run as the General Manager to an end.

The Jaguars will finish the season with at least a franchise worst of 13 losses. That is enough to beat the expansion year 4-12 record. Action Sports Brent Martineau is in Nashville covering the game and forwarded this communication with Smith prior to the game.

"I've never worked to save my job, just tried to do my job to the best of my ability each and every day. Let's finish the season on a positive note in Nashville," said Smith.

An ESPN report says that San Francisco Director of Player Personnel Tom Gamble and Arizona Director of Player Personnel Jason Licht are the leading candidates to replace Smith. Action Sports is reaching out to our sister station in San Francisco for the latest on this developing story. The two teams are playing each other on this final Sunday in the regular season.

Action Sports 360 is your source for the story on the Jaguars final game of the season, the future of Gene Smith and all of the locker room reaction. We start at 10:30 p.m. on FOX30 and 11:20 p.m. on CBS47.

I think we should wait till after the Superbowl to think about who should be GM for Jaguars. There are some great minds out there. Some former coaches that have more innovative ways football should be played.

His legacy was not to produce a winning team. He should try some other kind of sport. He really does not know football or have a clue to how the game is played.

a lot of other's should be gone too. need quality player's not playing the same loser's game after game, year after year. 2-14 tell's a lot about the organization. the fan's deserve better. if they really cared about the fan's they would put a winning team on the field year's ago.
