JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Early voting began Saturday across much of the area. Election supervisors predict long lines as a result of the anticipated heavy turnout.

Early voting runs through Saturday, November 3. Most early voting locations will be open from 7 a.m. through 7 p.m.

Voters may cast their ballot at any early voting location, within their county of residence. A valid Photo and Signature ID is required when voting. Election officials urge voters to mark and bring your sample ballot with you when you vote, to help ease the process.

The website for the Duval Supervisor of Elections has important information for voters.

In 2008, more than 2.6 million votes, in Florida, were cast during early voting.

Early voting in southeast Georgia began on October 15.
