JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It dropped to 38 degrees...with some patchy frost...on this chilly Good Friday morning. It's been a spring break along the First Coast that has felt more like winter.
From a freeze warning to a frost advisory and more, it's been a long week for those kids (and parents) that longed for 80s and beach time.
At least it's been sunny.
Now the weekend arrives with Easter Sunday on the way and finally...warmer weather takes over. The First Alert Weather team is forecasting lows to rise from the 40s tonight to near 60 by Monday morning.
Daytime highs hit 70 degrees today and push 80 on Sunday. Saturday's maximum will be seasonal: mid 70s.
Scattered clouds will move in as early as Friday evening, but will be a little thicker over the weekend. Raindrops will be slim-to-none with a slight chance Saturday night and again on Sunday night.
There's a better chance for rain next week.
Sunrise on Easter Sunday is 7:17 AM.
