JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Call them the economic A-Team: Jax Chamber President Dan Davis, City Council President Bill Gulliford, Mayor Alvin Brown and Jaguars owner Shad Khan as the heavy hitter.
The team is enjoying its second full day in London.
"It's like Jacksonville on the Thames, but we have better weather," said Jaguars owner Shad Khan.
The goal is for the great business minds to think alike and bring jobs to Jacksonville.
"It's exciting to see the reception we've had so far," said Davis.
"This is an exposure trip. While we think Jax is great and we know it, we have to get the message out, and that's what we're really doing," said Gulliford.
Mayor Brown says there are people interested in bringing their business to Jacksonville. People like Justin Doherty, with Hemmington Consulting, a leading political consulting firm in the U.K.
"I was astonished by what I saw -- it was surreal. It was full of smiling, happy, genuinely nice people, and we went to the beach and fine restaurants," said Doherty.
Doherty is working on partnering with a Jacksonville public relations firm and, maybe one day, living here.
"Getting the mayor and the rest of the leadership from Jacksonville shows commitment and we're going to have results in the future," said Khan.
