84 years old and had dreams. It is difficult to convince older people or the ill that money does not grow on trees. They hope to hit the lotto. We all know what that chase is. I am sorry for this elderly man. I hope some how he gets his money back, and Mom you need to think about putting the back account in your name AND a trusted family member.

What was he thinking? They said if he would give the money to charity. He was thinking he could get the money and keep it. His greed cost him his savings. He wasn't thinking about the homeless when he did this. This is similar to the phishing techniques used in Africa were they tell you a distant relative with the same name has died in plane crash and you can get 25 million if you just send them proof of your name and split a 15 to 20 percent collector fee with the guy who does the work in Africa for you. Then some catch comes up about a 500 dollar processing fee you can guess the rest.
