What the public doesn't know is that most City employees haven't received a pay raise in 4-5 years. Bonuses? That word doesn't even exist in our vocabulary. The library is making huge cuts in staff & hours, adding to the unemployment rate in this town, and limiting public access to our services & resources. I dodged the pink slip bullet, but so many others didn't, it sickens me. Maybe that $174k could be used to save a few jobs.
