ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Biologists are trying to keep a dolphin, near St. Augustine, from getting seriously hurt.
The animal appears to be caught up in a crab line and buoy.
It was first spotted earlier in the week in the St. Johns River near Blount Island and has continued to move southward.Dr. Rose Borkowski says biologists will try to remove the line and buoy if they can get close enough to the dolphin.
The doctor says that it is very important that sightings of this dolphin continue to be called in to the FWC Hotline at 888-404-3922.
