JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Race leaders say entries for the Gate River Run are on a record pace.
Entries are nearly 12-percent ahead of last year's race. So far, more than 10,000 people have signed up for the 15k race.
Last year more than 23,000 runners took part in the Gate River Run, an event that spanned across five days.
15 of the 24 women finalists in the 10,000 meters race for the Olympic Trials are in the race, along with 8 of the top 10 men from the 2012 race.
Entries will be capped at 20,000 on the February 28 deadline.
The race is March 9.
