ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Sheriff deputies are no longer searching areas near the World Golf Village for an escaped prisoner.

Syllas McMillan was located and arrested Friday evening in his home county of Citrus County, along the Gulf Coast.

No word on how McMillan made the nearly 100 mile journey.

McMillian was with a group of inmates, on a field trip, at the Haven Horse Ranch off C.R. 208 when he kicked out a bathroom window at the ranch and fled on foot.

McMillian was originally in custody for non-violent burglary and theft charges, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
