JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Some light rain this evening with cool temperatures that will be steady in the low to mid 50s.  Amounts will be less than a tenth of an inch but will dampen area highways at times.
Temperatures will turn milder by Saturday afternoon but clouds will still cover the area through much of the day.  Scattered showers will develop but there will be dry periods and total rainfall will again be relatively light -- less than a quarter of an inch.  Highs will range from the upper 50s at Waycross to the upper 60s for most of Jacksonville to the 70s from Gainesville to Palatka.
An approaching cold front will increase rain late Saturday night into Sunday with all areas getting at least some rain.  A few thunderstorms will also develop with rainfall averaging a half inch to an inch, locally up to 1.5".
