JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- EverBank Field is ready for a new season. The goal is to fill these seats and get fans behind the Big Cats.
The new food rule may help. Starting now, fans can bring outside food into the game.
"We're trying to do everything we can, not only to make it affordable, but also increase the entertainment value of at trip to EverBank Field, Jaguars President Mark Lamping said.
The move is expected to create more of a family friendly environment, and be easy on the pocketbook.
You do, however, need to remember there are some guidelines.
"Needs to be in an 11 by 11 clear plastic bag, and unwrapped so we can inspect it for security reasons," Lamping said.
No liquids or beverages will be allowed...unless pre-approved for medical purposes by the jags fan services department.
"If you think of the cost of prices in today's economy with what you spend to get inside the stadium, it's going to make a big difference," fan Whitney Bessing said.
The food change is one of many new initiatives Jags fans can expect this year. Lamping says they're working hard to make sure you're "All In."
"We want to make sure we removed as many barriers as we possibly can that may have kept people from coming to games in the past," Lamping said.
