imtellin- Excuse me but.. who are you to say he needs a good ass whooping when he get out the hospital? Didn't you read the description or watch the video they are still investigating what happen. The cops said they saw the rear door open and he fell out and hit his head, Than they are saying they saw him jump out. So what you rode the bus every day as a child and it never crosses your mind to stick your head out and what not. But at that time were you in little Ian head to be hearing his thoughts or understanding anything that was going on did you see through his eyes what was happening? No! So you shouldn't be saying ignorant things like "He needs an ass whooping when he gets home". He in the hospital with life threatening injuries. The attendant on board should have been in the backseat by the emergency exit door watching the kids doing her job.

where was the attendant onboard when the incident happened?what was she doing???? was she sleeping on the bus? if she was sitting at the backseat by the exit door and watching the kids,no student will jumped out or fell out the bus....

Gunny48 the reason is no discipline within the school system. As the husband of a Clay County school bus driver, I am exposed to this all of the time. The drivers are supposed to be responsible for hauling these kids to and from school safely, but they are not allowed to discipline the little "brats" when they misbehave. This child should not have even been out of his seat, but there is nothing Mr. Taylor can do if a child does get out of his or her seat. Because if he does anything to correct some parents "little angel", Mr. Taylor gets all kinds of problems from his bosses and the kids parents. They give these drivers awesome responsiblities with no authority or backing. You can't have one with out the others. Also, there is no disrespect intended, but I think Mr. Taylor is way too old to be driving a school bus. Regardless of what we may want to admit, our reflexes and cognitive abilities slow down with age. Shame on Duval County for allowing this to happen. I am sure he could be employed in some other meaningful capacity.
