JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol identified the driver who died in a crash on Interstate 10 near McDuff Avenue Saturday afternoon.
According to FHP, 73-year-old Gloria C. Blanton, of Jacksonville, died in the crash just before 4 p.m.
FHP said Blanton drove west in the inside eastbound lane of the interstate. According to FHP, 58-year-old Betty H. Crampton drove in the inside travel lane going east on the interstate.
Officials with FHP said Blanton then collided her Lincoln Town Car with Crampton's Ford Ranger on I-10.
Blanton was pronounced dead at the crash, according to FHP.
Officials with FHP said Crampton was taken to UF Health Jacksonville after the crash.
According to FHP, Blanton did not wear her seatbelt.
FHP said charges are pending.
