CRESCENT CITY, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol identified the victims from Sunday's collision in Crescent City that killed a young girl.

Investigators say 74-year-old Gerard Buchan failed to yield to traffic at a stop sign at the intersection of U.S. 17 and Clifton Road.

A car with five children inside slammed into Buchan's Ford Explorer.

The FHP said two children were ejected in the crash.

Nayana S. Thomas, 3, was killed. Two 6-year-olds, a 7-year-old and a 4-month-old are at Halifax Medical Center with minor injuries.

Investigators say charges are also pending against the driver of the car full of children, 29-year-old Ashley Thomas.  She is in the hospital with serious injuries.

Thomas and the children are all from Seville, which is about 30-miles south of Palatka.

The FHP said speed did not play a role in the crash.
