FSCJ board votes to terminate former president's contract
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The FSCJ Board of Trustees just voted to terminate the golden parachute given former president Steven Wallace.
The FDLE tells Action News that Wallace is under investigation.
All but one of the board members decided today that there is enough evidence to immediately terminate Wallace's contract.
Board members were told Wallace kept track of days he worked in a Word document and then when he would take time off, he would cross those days off, instead of taking vacation time.
School officials told the board that is not a policy they'd ever heard of before and that Wallace was overpaid when he received nearly $ 336,000 in unpaid vacation time when he stepped down from his position.
