ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- Hundreds took part in a commemoration bike ride Saturday in Clay County in remembrance of Detective David White.

White was killed in February 2012 during a meth lab raid.

Members of the Veteran Enforcers Motorcycle Association provided a plaque to Jennifer White, his widow.

VEMA says its mission is to recognize and remember the families of fallen officers and military service members.

Detective Matt Hanlin, who was injured in the 2012 raid, also took part in the remembrance.

Detective White was a good man and a good protector here in Clay County. If you had the privilege of meeting him you knew instantly you were talking to a dedicated quality individual. To those riders who participated in the ride.I couldn't participate so thank you for the representation.
