MARION COUNTY, Fla. (WFTV) -- Marion County Fire Rescue responded to the Hampton Manor Assisted Living Facility in Belleview around 10:33 Saturday evening for a tree that had fallen through the roof.

The tree landed on the facility’s dining area and broke the complex’s fire suppression system causing water pipes to bust and flood parts of the facility, according to firefighters.

Firefighters and Hampton Manor staff evacuated 52 residents due to structural damage, electrical and water issues to other parts of the facility. None of the residents or staff suffered any injures.

Many of the residents were taken to another Hampton Manor facility in the area; a few residents were picked up by family members.

It is estimated it will take about a week for the facility to make repairs.
