JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Family and friends are saying goodbye to the victim of a deadly road rage shooting. Tom Schadowsky's family will hold a wake Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Oxley Heard Funeral Home in Fernandina Beach. A funeral will be held after the wake at the Burgess Chapel of Oxley Heard.

Police say Schadowsky was gunned down by Kevin Israel Williams after an argument at a gas station on Dunn Avenue on February 6, 2013.

Thanks to a tip, Williams was arrested February 7, 2013.

Police say Williams was getting gas, when Schadowsky erratically pulled in next to him. Williams confronted Schadowsky and the two briefly exchanged words. Witnesses say Williams then pulled his SUV to the side of the gas station and waited for Schadowsky to leave. They say he, then, pulled out of the parking lot, got behind Schadowsky and shot him.

Schadowsky died at the scene from a single shot to the chest.

Police say Williams admitted to everything up until the shooting, telling them he wasn't involved. He also told police he threw the old license plate in a Dumpster in Nassau County, but a search had no results. Police are still looking for the weapon.
