Family cat revived after fire
CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- Firefighters were able to revive and resuscitate a family cat from a fully involved house fire.
Early Monday morning Clay County Fire Rescue was called out to the 200 block of Jefferson Avenue in reference to a residential structure fire. Units arrived on scene to a working fire with flames visibly showing.
No one in the home was injured. Firefighters were able to rescue and revive the family cat that was trapped inside.
The home sustained $50,000 in damage. The family was not able to go back inside and required emergency help from Red Cross.
Investigators found there was no working smoke detector and the cause of the fire in still undetermined.
