INTERLACHEN, Fla.-- After a gruesome killing, a family in Interlachen claims they feel trapped in their home by their neighbor's pit bulls.
The Wadeson pet cat was mauled to death on the family's front steps Tuesday by a pair of pit bulls owned by their neighbor, George Keech.
"That's what dogs do. They kill cats," Keech told Action News.
Originally, Keech was allowed to get his dogs back once he paid a $115 fine for allowing the animals to get loose to kill the cat. Now, the Wadesons tells us he will have to go to court and prove his animals are not dangerous.
The cat owner, Tammy Wadeson, filed numerous complaints in recent years about the dogs living across a field from her house.
Now, that it's become a deadly problem, she now fears for her children's safety.
"My kids can't ride their bikes. My kids can't do anything here; we are trapped," said Wadeson.
