JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Thursday was Alicia Haller's wedding day.  But it has been anything but relaxing.

Alicia--her husband--and her 8 children escaped the family van when it exploded into flames with them inside.  The entire family managed to make it out safely, but as they were relocating to Georgia from Jacksonville--they had no place to stay for the night.

That is, until Jacksonville firefighters stepped in.  JFRD firefighters saw the couple needed some help--and using money from the firefighter's charity fund, they bought the family a hotel room for the night.

The Haller family doesn't know what tomorrow holds--but tonight, they get a warm bed in a safe place.

They say they have our local heroes to thank for it.
