JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- Despite Thursday's chilly temperatures, families hit the sand in Jax Beach to celebrate Thanksgiving.

For the Deyo's, it is a family tradition. But they said usually it is a little warmer. They were forced to find their winter gear and battle back against the strong winds coming in off the water.

"We like packed all of our coats up and our hats and got bundled up so we could be warm and most of us didn't want to go really but my mom was like it's family tradition so we have to. And it's fun now," said Anna Devo.

While the sand was somewhat busy, our cameras didn't catch anyone venturing out into the water.
