JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Fans rallied around their team Monday morning as the news broke about General Manager Gene Smith getting fired. "As an organization it didn't really come as a big shock. Because they want results," says fan Sandy Rose. "I'm glad he's gone. We need somebody new that can help develop everybody. His last couple years has not been too good," says fan Joe Teston.

Smith was with the Jaguars since 1994, and the General Manager since 2009. But, with the team ending in 2-14 yesterday, the worst season in franchise history, Shad Khan made the decision to let Smith go Monday morning. "I think Shad Khan should get rid of everybody and start over. Keep your top key players and whoever's not cutting it ship them out," says Teston. "He had a strategy of drafting the best available player. He stuck by his guns on that. I guess the results haven't worked out," says fan Aaron Resnick.

No matter how they feel about the decision, the fans we spoke with say they support the team no matter what. "As a fan. I support any decisions they do make. Maybe it is time for a change. Either way they're going to be good no matter what," says Rose.
