ST JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- After five hours of deliberations Wednesday night, a jury found Omar Long, 30, guilty of manslaughter in the death of his daughter.

Long was emotional during the two day trial, as he relived the events of June 14, 2009.  According to testimony, 23-month-old Arianna Long died after being left in a hot car for nearly six hours.  Her father had taken his girlfriend, Lashondia Anderson, to work earlier that morning.  Long went back home and went to sleep.  But because he had been out partying and drinking the night before, prosecutors said he was too out of it to remember his little girl was in the back seat.

Long's defense team argued there was no proof given that he even knew his daughter was in the car.

His family left the courtroom devastated.  Not only are they now dealing with the loss of a little girl, they having to deal with the fact that Long could be going to jail.

Sentencing is set for January.
