ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.-- The father of two young boys, killed by their mother in a double murder-suicide, is thanking people for their prayers.
Dan Rashley was in Ohio when he got the call from police about his sons deaths. The bodies of 8-year-old Daniel Rashley, 7-year-old William Rashley and their mother 40-year-old Donna Gayle McCulloch were found in their Julington Creek home by McCulloch's parents, who went to check on them last week.
On his Facebook page, Rashley says, "Thank you everyone for your support." He also adds, "Please help me give my beautiful boys the funeral they deserve. Anything will help. I love you guys and appreciate all you are doing for me."
Rashley and McCulloch reportedly had a rough couple years.
McCulloch was married to Daniel Rashley in Pinellas County in November 2003. They divorced in 2010.
The divorce came after a June 2010 car crash. McCulloch lost control of her car, crashing into a tree and power pole. That accident, which knocked out power to at least 1,000 people, left her in critical condition.
Please help me give my beautiful boys the funeral they deserve. Anything will help. I love you guys and appreciate all you are doing for me.
