JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Arlington Hot Spot is a popular place on University Boulevard. But Tuesday, it's locked up.
Action News was there as investigators loaded seven hard drives and about a dozen boxes into the back of a minivan, wrapping up a several hour long investigation inside.
Bianca Ricks was the clerk working inside when a dozen investigators stormed in.
Witnesses tell Action News there were about 30 people gambling. They say they were told to stop playing and not move for about 20 minutes.
Ricks says she was inside much longer as investigators combed through the parlor and back office.
She says she was terrified and had no idea what was happening.
"I was just in there working when I seen them. They flashed their, whatever the hell that thing is, at me and told me to put my hands on the counter and from there they just took over," she told Action News.
Ricks says the investigators didn't give her any information as to what they were looking for.
But she says she's frustrated because, tonight, she's out of a job.
Hot Spot shut down
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The "open" sign has been turned off and the parking lot is deserted in front of the Hot Spot on University Boulevard in Arlington.
Kathy Williams says she was inside this afternoon with about 30 other people when, all of a sudden, more than a dozen undercover officers busted through the doors and told the patrons to stop playing and not to go anywhere.
She says she heard them break into a back office inside. She says those playing weren't allowed to leave for about 20 minutes.
Williams says it was a frightening ordeal. Those inside were confused when the officers surrounded them and went to work in the back room.
"I was nervous I was scared. I was wondering if I was going to jail and if everyone was going to be arrested," she told Action News.
Williams says she's been gambling at this location for several years and it is always busy.
Now she's left questioning exactly what happened inside.
Late Tuesday afternoon, a truck with Dedge's Lock & Key pulled up to the internet café. Moments later, crews walked out with boxes of computer hard drives and loaded them into the truck.
