Felon sentenced to life in armed robbery
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- A Jacksonville man has been sentenced to mandatory life in prison on two counts of armed robbery.
Deon McCrimager, 23, also received 15 years on a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and five years for grand theft auto.
McCrimager was convicted in April for the 2011 armed robbery of two men outside The Metro night club in Jacksonville. McCrimager and another man used a handgun to rob the men of their wallets, car keys, and cell phones.
Days later, McCrimager used the stolen car keys to take the victim's car. When police found the car, McCrimager's belongings were inside. McCrimager is a Prison Release Re-Offender, with a 2009 conviction for Grand Theft Auto.
