Fernandina Beach man killed in bar fight in St. Augustine
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- St. Johns County detectives are investigating an incident at Crow Bar on State Road 16 that left one person dead and another in the hospital.
St. Johns County deputies responded to the bar just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Deputies found 45-year-old Scott Douglas Kerins, of St. Augustine, standing outside the bar holding a knife.
He had non-life threatening injuries. He was treated and released from Flagler Hospital.
Deputies found Rickie Wayne Starling, 39, of Fernandina Beach, inside the bar with a wound to his leg. He died at Flagler Hospital. His cause of death is pending an autopsy.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office questioned Kerins about the incident and released him.
