JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man who had a fight with another man over a case of beer is going to prison.

A judge sentenced Octavian Nephilim to 25 years in prison following his conviction on charges of attempted second degree murder and shooting or throwing deadly missils.

Police say Nephilim shot Darius Allen in a fight over beer at the Speedway Food Store on Perry Street back in 2011.  The fight lasted all day.

Nephilim must serve a minimum mandatory of 20 years in prison.  He was on probation at the time of the shooting.

That's a very high price to pay for a case of beer! Must have been awfully thirsty! What a moron!
