MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- Firefighters are looking for the cause of a fire that destroyed a Clay County home Sunday morning.

Flames broke out at the home on Pinto Road around 6:30 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy flames coming from the garage area of the home.

Eventually, crews were able to bring the fire under control, not before it destroyed an out building, a motor home, several four wheelers and a boat.

No one was hurt in the blaze but the homeowner says several large exotic birds were lost in the fire.
