Fire prompts smoke alert in Marion County
OCALA, Fla. -- A fire burning in the Ocala National Forest is prompting a smoke alert.
The Florida Highway Patrol says drivers on county roads 42 and 450 may encounter low visibility in that area. Motorist are urged to use their low beams and allow for additional time to get to their destinations.
More than a dozen homes were destroyed by a fire there earlier this month.
