WAYCROSS, Ga. -- First responders gathered to honor fallen hero Lt. Jeff little.

"They're all a brotherhood," said Andrew Little.

Jim and Andrew Little are the career firefighter's brothers.

It's a tough day for them. Not even the murder arrest in their brother's case makes it easier.

"It wouldn't bring my brother back and it won't change that he's a hero," said Jim Little.

As friends and family said goodbye Wednesday, 17-year-old Zachery Thompson and Ronnie Cranford are sitting in jail.

We've learned the two have had run-ins with the law.

A captain with the Waycross Police Department says Thompson was arrested last year and again two months ago for shoplifting. Cranford has a juvenile arrest but detailed information can't be released.

Now the two face murder charges.

Lt. Little's brother wanted just five minutes to talk with the suspects, but they said no.

"I would tell them just to look at us. This is the face of the people you've affected. That's all I want to say," said Little.

As Lt. Little heads to his final resting place, his family says its hero will rest in peace.

"Mom and dad are waiting and we'll let him go to rest," said Little.

Lt. Little's body will now be taken to his hometown in Alabama. His funeral will be Friday.
