JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- When it comes to image, Beth Sullivan knows her stuff. "These two women bring class, elegance, flair, something different that a man doesn't have," says Beth Sullivan.
The Jacksonville image consultant is talking about First Lady Michelle Obama and Ann Romney. She says both women bring a refreshing, young feel to this election. "This year I really see a difference in not being quite as conservative as what we're used to seeing in the past," she says.
Sullivan says while both women are poised and have a bit of an edge, "Michelle Obama is really the one that's taken the risk. And as an image consultant I really like that." Sullivan compares the first lady's boldness in fashion to her passion for education and volunteerism.
And as for Romney: "Ann Romney is beautiful, classic, elegant," she says.
Sullivan says the American people want to like the first lady. They want someone they can look up to. And she says, both women deliver.
"Very well put together and definitely add a lot as far as image goes to their husbands' campaigns," says Sullivan.
And she says, they bring more than just looks to the campaign. "Not only do they have just a really beautiful appearance, but they're very well spoken," she says.
