Five injured in crash on Beach Boulevard
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Peach Drive that injured five people Saturday.
JSO had to close the westbound lanes of Beach Boulevard at Peach for nearly an hour because of the crash involving a Chevrolet Avalanche and a Honda Accord that happened around noon.
Police at the scene tell Action News five people had to be taken to hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.
According to investigators, the crash happened when the Honda attempted to make a left turn on to Peach Drive. They say the Chevy truck was driving west on Beach Boulevard when the two vehicles collided.
Police are investigating to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
All westbound lanes of Beach Boulevard are open.
