BUNNELL, Fla. -- The Flagler County Sheriff's Office arrested one of their own. Civilian employee Elizabeth Cretella is charged with misuse of public office. The charge is a felony.

Sheriff James L. Manfre ordered an investigation on Jan. 22 after information was received that there may have been an unlawful release of information on September 20, 2012 involving an investigation of Cretella's son.

Cretella was arrested at her home in Edgewater by the Volusia County Sheriff's Office. The investigation is continuing.

Cretella has been an employee of the sheriff's office since 2006 in the accreditation unit. FCSO said she was responsible for ensuring compliance with agency policies. Cretella was immediately suspended without pay.

She wanted to 'protect her son' it sounds like, so he doesn't face jail time, no doubt...but what she doesn't realize she does him NO GOOD 'enabling' him this way and also got her self into trouble doing it. You teach your kids to 'Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time"..
