Florida is hotbed for hate groups

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A new report by the Southern Poverty Law Center says the overall number of hate groups dropped dramatically nationwide in 2013, but Action News found Florida still ranks high on the list.

The SPLC hate map identifies 58 hate groups throughout the state, down from 59 in 2012.

"Florida is a hotbed for hate groups. The state has historically ranked in the top two or three for the highest number," says SPLC Senior Fellow Mark Potok.

Potok says the groups are classified as hate groups because they oppose a specific groups of people based on specific characteristics.

According to the SPLC hate map, six hate groups are based in Jacksonville.

"Florida is unusual in that it really houses such distinct cultures, and cultures that are not always so friendly to each other," says Senior Fellow Mark Potok. "Northern Florida, which in many senses is really part of the Deep South, and south Florida which is very multicultural. This can cause tension among groups of people."

Potok says the report is no indication of the number of hate crimes, but says recently many moderate members have left the hate groups, and those that remain are more extreme in their beliefs.

"The more people speak out against them, the more they can become more extreme, and at times more violent."

Potok says the number of hate groups nationwide peaked in 2011, following the re-reflection of President Obama and downturn in the economy. Many of the groups that disbanded in the past year were opposed to government operations.

The SLPC is a left-wing hate group. I mean all they do all day long is slander groups or any individual to the right of Bill Clinton. Even the so-called mainstream right knows this: http://www.wnd.com/2014/02/splcs-latest-ridiculous-hate-group-list/

The Southern Poverty Law Center needs to include itself in ANY hate group report, as it exists ONLY to perpetuate anti-White, anti-Southern hatred. It was started by Northern liberal elitists to funnel funds to organizations within and without the Central government which seek to remove God from our lives entirely, and to replace self-determination and self-sufficiency with their own brand of European Socialism and complete dependence upon government. What scares these Yankees most is the fact that a growing number of intransigent Southrons refuse to go quietly into the abyss of Godlessness and heathenism. Instead, we preach self-reliance and states rights, preferring to control our own destinies rather than give over the reins of our lives to career politicians from both major parties, all bought and paid for from monies collected to keep them in perpetual power. Global elitists in servitude to Rothschild-controlled fractional reserve banks, print fiat money via a non-government and private Federal Reserve, money which has no backing except "the full faith and credit of the united states government". Anyone whom possesses the audacity to espouse viewpoints which do not concur with multiculturalism, refuses to accept homosexual behavior as normal, or even wishes to home-school their children, is looked upon as uncultured, uneducated, unwashed, and dangerous to the preservation of society. If you believe, as do many members of the various "hate groups" from the 'news' story, that the White population of the South is under attack by forces that would completely destroy our homeland and remove our brand of kith and kin Biblically-defined 'Nation-hood', then YOU represent a danger to the advancement of their globalist intentions, and must be dealt with and eliminated. And, to answer the question of a previous commentor, no, the New Black Panther Party was not mentioned in the 'news story'. Nor was La Raza. Only Whites can be considered "haters", I guess. Molon Labe!

Good call of course not, the new pink kitties are not a hate group, they are "activists". The SLPC is one of the largest purveyors of hate in this country and they run around hating anyone that disagrees with them, only. I dont know why they even get any attention at all, well any more attention than the Nazi party or White Pride groups as they are essentially the same thing, again the only difference since they primarily "serve" the "colored folk" they are activists and not hate groups even though thier actions completely contradict that. I guess I am my own hate group because I hate the SPLC loosers that go around forcing the one sided race war down the throats of many innocent and decent Americans of white and back... I would also say we have a high population and therefore a high intermixing of whites and whatever other group so there is probably a higher probability that people will find themselves in conflict with said groups, frequently; and will therefore form a stronger opinion with more conviction than is other areas that are much more segregated. Being from "up north", even though the states there are much more "liberal" they are also much more segregated with "areas" you dont go to with defined borders whereas in FL its just pockets surrowded by the "others". So you go to a store and a millionaire and a ghetto family could be shopping at the same place, routinely. Neat!

The SPLC should be on that hate map. They fuel more hatred for the native Florida population than any of these groups. Shame on WTEV for referencing such an extremist group who makes a business of poverty and slander.
