JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- They are the dirty details that usually don't leave the bedroom. But the state is asking thousands of women, some of them teens, to spill it all in a survey. Recipients even get a $10 gift card for CVS.

"That's people's personal business," said Stephenie Etienne.

The 46-questions include how many partners they have had in the past year, and how they felt after having unprotected sex. "I think that's a very personal question," said Elizabeth Haymaker.

"Um, I wouldn't feel comfortable answering that," said Bronwin Knight.

The survey was sent to 4,100 women between the ages of 18 to 24. And Action News took the questions directly to some of them to see what they thought.

"They are questions to think about, definitely. But also very personal questions. I don't know why the state would ever need to know that," said Haymaker.

"I would throw it away. I would not answer it.  Personally I would think it was some kind of scam. It just sounds outrageous," said Knight.

Many of them said the only thing worse than the questions in the survey is the $50,000 of taxpayer money to send it.

"That's just ridiculous. That money could be going to plenty of other places than some dumb survey that no one is going to fill out," said Knight.

We reached out to Florida's Department of Health in Tallahassee several times, but it did not return our calls.
