Just think the people of nassau county voted this pos into office. This is an injustice to society. It teaches us all, if you are a politician, police or a public figure, you can get out of anything! What a shame!

This is ridiculous!! Because she was a County Commissioner, the charge was dropped. The punishment should be the same across the board no matter who you are. Instead, an average citizen faces jail time, loses his/her job of MANY years, pays $1000s in fines, has probation, and has multiple other penalties. Absolutely no justice was served here, and if she did it once, it probably wasn't the first time, and will probably happen again. Just sick!

What a joke. Also, the title of this story does not fit the story. She avoided prosecution on the DUI charge. The writer of this should be ashamed. I guess our legal system is not really blind. That state prosecutor should be looked at under a microscope. If this is not the norm, remove him or her from office. A complete insult. I thought the idea was to have a punishment so that we keep Floridians safer. What a joke. Reopen the case, there is a tremendous amount of evidence including dash cams to be used as evidence.
