JACKSONVILLE -- In parts of Jacksonville Thursday morning, visibility went down to zero due to fog. Warm, moist air is in place. A cold front is expected later tonight and Friday. We will see a cooler weekend.
The cold front will move into Southeast Georgia later tonight. Expect increasing clouds and a few scattered showers tonight, especially north of the Florida-Georgia state line.
Scattered showers should spread into Northeast Florida on Friday as the cold front sags to the south. An isolated thunderstorm is also possible on Friday.
The front passes Jacksonville Friday afternoon and evening. Temperatures will fall into the 50s in the Metro Area and inland by Saturday morning. Expect 60s along our beaches as the sun comes up Saturday morning.
Saturday and Sunday will be drier, cooler, and pleasant. The forecast calls for sunshine with maximum temperatures around 80 degrees both days.
