GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- A former Clay County school board employee was arrested Tuesday, accused of stealing and selling government property.
Michael Francisco, a former Information Technology specialist for the Clay County School District, is accused of stealing at least $19,000 in computer and audio-visual equipment and selling the stolen items on eBay.
Detectives believe Francisco used the money he made off selling the stolen items to pay his bills, supplement his income and buy items for his family.
Francisco is being held on $100,000 bond.
He no longer works for the school district.
