CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- A Clay County jury convicted Aaron Allen Foley on charges of Armed Burglary, two counts of Grand Theft, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon.

In March 2012, Foley walked into a garage in Fleming Island and stole a .22 caliber rifle, an all-terrain vehicle, power tools and various hunting items.  The stolen property was worth more than $10,000 and belonged to a Lieutenant in the Clay County Sheriff's Office.

Witness information led police to Foley.  The 37 year old is a former corrections officer from Charlton County, Georgia.  He is also a convicted felon.  In 2009, he pleaded guilty in Duval County to a charge of False Impersonation of a Law Enforcement Officer.
Foley faces life in prison.  He will be sentenced the week of September 4, 2012.
