FOLKSTON, Ga. -- A former high school teacher was sentenced to 10 years in prison as part of a plea deal for having sex with six students in 2012, according to the Charlton County clerk of courts.
DaNita Wilson, 33, pleaded guilty to six counts of sexual assault Monday in a Charlton County courtoom.
Authorities originally said Wilson, a teacher at Charlton County High School, was arrested in January 2013 for having sex with multiple teenagers.
Wilson is expected to spend 10 years in prison and will be required to serve an additional 15 years on probation, after release.
She must also register as a sex offender upon being released from custody
