FORT WHITE, Fla. -- A man was arrested after a standoff in Columbia County.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office responded after 3 p.m. Thursday to 3764 S.W. Wilson Springs Road for a report of a man with a gun threatening to "kill everyone."

When deputies arrived, the caller told them Patrick James Dempsey, 32, had a pistol during an argument with his girlfriend and made the threats.
